Andrew's Photos and Updates from Japan!
I saw these guys on 1/20, too. They were standing by Shibuya Station. The sign on the left says, “Free Bibles;” the one on the right says, “Let’s read the Bible together.” (If you click on the photo and see it on flickr, you can see the notes I posted on the photo.)
These guys were pretty spooky. They were waving and winking at the girls. I got the feeling that their main purpose was to try to pick up girls. (And in Japan, some people are so desperate to “practice their English” that they would probably talk to a couple guys about the Bible).
Disclaimer: I like the Bible, but these guys were creepy. Hence, the title of the post.
We spend so much time running around, trying to get things done. Here a few images of the times between the hustle and bustle, when we have nothing to do but wait…
This is a restaurant near Kichijoji Station, in Tokyo. The sign is inviting potential customers to warm up by coming in for some chicken rice and Oden (a kind of Japanese soup…I often make it at home).
If you’d like to learn more about Oden, check out the Wikipedia page here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oden
